The pieces, hand-carved from natural boxwood and solid ebony (Diospyros ebenum), offer a classic silhouette with impeccable balance. Weighted and felted, they glide silently and remain perfectly stable on the board. The king stands at 9.5 cm, giving the set an assured presence.

The board, handmade in Europe from ebony, poplar and stained maple, features crisp marquetry and a matte finish that enhances the grain without glare. Its black-and-beige chequerboard is immediately legible, creating a calm visual field that encourages focus.
