DESCRIPTION

Maple and walnut create a natural contrast between light and brown wood. The board puts this pairing at the forefront: its simple chequered design allows the grain of each wood to show through.

The hornbeam pieces complement the board with understated shapes. Their silhouettes and felted bases give the set a tactile quality, extending the board’s simplicity through figures you recognise at a glance.
