Their décor is adorned with delicate floral engravings, and the high-gloss lacquer intensifies the contrast between black and beige. The silhouette of each figure, from pawn to king 4 in (99 mm), impresses with its nobility, while the polishing and precise balance give a luxurious feel in the hand.

The 19.7 in (50 cm) board, crafted in Europe, is a masterpiece in its own right. Made from ebony, poplar and stained maple, it combines the strength of deep black with the radiance of beige in a spectacular chequered pattern. Its marquetry—of surgical precision—and its matt finish create a striking contrast while avoiding distracting reflections during play.
